The MS Blisnjak was built in Warnemünde in 1954 and christened Balkhash. In December 1958 the ship was renamed Professor Blisnjak in honor of the project manager of the Volga-Don canal construction. Since 2008 the ship has been called « Blisnjak ». The ship, which was completely renovated in 2019, offers space for 43 guests in 23 cabins and is currently the only comfortable cruise ship that sails the Yenisei between Krasnoyarsk and Dudinka.
