Hamburg, a major port city in northern Germany, is connected to the North Sea by the Elbe River. It’s crossed by hundreds of canals, and also contains large areas of parkland. Near its core, Inner Alster lake is dotted with boats and surrounded by cafes. The city’s central Jungfernstieg boulevard connects the Neustadt (new town) with the Altstadt (old town), home to landmarks like 18th-century St. Michael’s Church

Rotterdam is a major port city in the Dutch province of South Holland. The Maritime Museum’s vintage ships and exhibits trace the city’s seafaring history. The 17th-century Delfshaven neighborhood is home to canalside shopping and Pilgrim Fathers Church, where pilgrims worshiped before sailing to America.

Zeebrugge est un port et une station balnéaire belge. Elle est reliée à la ville de Bruges par le canal Baudouin. L’ancien marché aux poissons du port de plaisance abrite le Seafront, un parc à thème qui met l’accent sur le patrimoine maritime et halieutique local. Un sous-marin russe y est exposé. Dans la ville voisine de Knokke-Heist, le musée « Pour la liberté » évoque l’histoire de la Seconde Guerre mondiale de la région à travers des dioramas. Southampton, officiellement la ville de Southampton, est une ville située dans le Sud-Est du comté de Suffolk, dans l’État de New York, en partie à la fourche Sud de Long Island. Lors du recensement de 2010 aux États-Unis, la ville comptait 56 790 habitants. Southampton fait partie de la bande côtière connue sous le nom de Hamptons.
