Die Stadt Magdeburg an der Elbe ist die Landeshauptstadt von Sachsen-Anhalt. Zu den markanten Sehenswürdigkeiten zählt der gotische Dom zu Magdeburg im Zentrum. Daneben befindet sich das Hundertwasserhaus mit der Grünen Zitadelle, in dessen Hof die typische Architektur und bunte Säulen des Künstlers zu bestaunen sind. Der aus Holz errichtete Jahrtausendturm ist mit 60 Metern Höhe das höchste Holzgebäude der Welt und kann von Besuchern begangen und bestiegen werden.
