In the oldest house in town there is a museum and the tourist information office. There are also many small restaurants and rustic bars in the city center.

Düsseldorf is an independent city that is one of the major cities in North Rhine-Westphalia. As the state capital, it houses the state parliament and is an important location for the media world. The MedienHafen with its impressive and architecturally extraordinary buildings, cafés and restaurants makes this clear. The old town and the Königsallee are very popular with tourists and locals alike. The Rhine Tower is a landmark of the city of Düsseldorf. The Rhine bridge and promenade are a popular place to picnic or go for a walk.
