Fram bedeutet „vorwärts“, was Erwartungen an die bevorstehende Reise weckt. MS Fram wurde 2007 gebaut und man verfolgte dabei nur ein einziges Ziel – die Gäste der Natur und der Tierwelt näher zu bringen und ihnen unvergessliche Erlebnisse zu ermöglichen. Die geräumigen Außendecks bieten Zugang zum Bug des Schiffs. Den Gästen ist also ein Platz in der ersten Reihe sicher, wenn sie die Tierwelt der Meere beobachten möchten.

MS Fram sollte bereits im Jahr 2020 renoviert werden, doch aufgrund der Pandemie wurden die Erneuerungsarbeiten verschoben. Die Renovierung ist für das erste Quartal 2022 geplant.

MS Fram ist SafeGuard-zertifiziert

Dieses Schiff wurde strengen Tests unterzogen und von der führenden unabhängigen Zertifizierungsstelle Bureau Veritas (BV) zertifiziert. Die von BV vorgeschriebene strenge und gründliche Sicherheitsprüfung gewährleistet, dass Schiffe den branchenüblichen und international geltenden bewährten Verfahren für Gesundheit, Sicherheit und Hygiene entsprechen. Wenn Sie das SafeGuard-Label sehen, können Sie sicher sein, dass das Schiff, mit dem Sie unterwegs sind, die höchsten Standards erfüllt. SafeGuard stellt außerdem sicher, dass die Richtlinien zu bewährten Verfahren in Bezug auf Hygiene, Desinfektion und die Begrenzung der Ausbreitung von Infektionskrankheiten an Bord befolgt werden.

Ganz auf Polarexpeditionen ausgerichtet

Das Schiff wurde speziell als Expeditionsschiff mit höherer Eisklasse konstruiert. Zur technischen Ausstattung gehören Kartierungstools, eine Tiefenlot-Datenbank, ein nach vorne ausgerichtetes ausfahrbares Sonar, Eisberg-Suchscheinwerfer, ein eigenes Trackingsystem, ein extragroßes Selbstversorger-Öltanksystem sowie ein spezielles Deck für Expeditionsgeräte, das der Größe eines Autodecks für 25 Fahrzeuge entspricht. Wir finden, dass jeder Entdecker ein Expeditionsschiff braucht, das als komfortables Base Camp auf See dient. Es sollte für alle Ozeane geeignet, sicher, flexibel und umweltfreundlich sein. Und genau diese Voraussetzung erfüllt Fram – sie ist einfach das beste Expeditionsschiff, das man sich nur vorstellen kann.

Einrichtungen an Bord

Die Explorer Lounge & Bar mit komfortablen Sitzbereichen auf dem Oberdeck des Schiffs bietet mit ihren großen Panoramafenstern einen unglaublichen Ausblick auf die Natur. Es ist ein Fernglas vorhanden, um Tiere zu beobachten und alle Details der sich ständig ändernden Landschaft entdecken zu können.

Im Restaurant auf Deck 4 genießen Sie exquisite Speisen. Die Restaurants befinden sich auf der Backbordseite des Schiffs. Auf Deck 7 finden Sie einen gut ausgestatteten Fitnessraum – mit seinem Panoramablick auf den Ozean der ideale Ort für ein Workout. Auf dem Oberdeck des Schiffs können Sie in der Sauna entspannen oder im Freien in einem der beiden Whirlpools baden.
